Beat the Rake!
The rake is the percentage of your winnings each casino takes as their share. This rake amount always has a maximum cap or limit (10% up to $3 of every pot) and usually begins once the pot hits $5. The lower the limit game you are playing, the more this rake will effect your bankroll. For example let's say you win a $100 dollar pot, 3% or $3 may be raked depending on the casino. It is a small percentage, but over the course of your winnings the dollars you lose to the rake will add up quickly. here are a few tips to help you beat the rake:

2 - Take the bonus money from the online casinos.
The trick to beating the casinos and the rake is to use the introductory bonus money. The bonus money is given by the casinos to wheel you in the doors. You can use this as your insurance from the rake.Keep track of your winnings and also the rake that the casinos take from your winnings. When the raked amount of your winnings is equal to the bonus money you received its time to move onto the next casino.
3 - Play smart
When playing against aggressive players, you should play tight and only play your premium starting hands. If you have nothing you should fold after the flop.
Playing tight is hard and requires patience but it should allow you to win bigger pots more frequently. Your winnings will still br raked, but if playing tight can win you extra hands you will have more than covered the rake.
4-Play aggressively
The Ante Steal. This can be attempted in a tight game. If players are tight enough to fold to an initial raise pre-flop. The "ante steal" is a good move since the house takes no rake on these winnings.
The Blind Steal. This move can be tried pre-flop when you and only the blinds are left in the hand. You can raise from the small blind position or from the position just before the small blind to try and steal the cost of the two blinds.
Buying a free card is a trick best used in last position after the flop hand. If no one else has raised post-flop, then you bet. Some players may fold, the others will most likely check to you. On the turn since everyone has checked, you most likely will not have to bet again.
5- Play at a high stakes poker tables.
The maximum rake is $3 at most poker rooms so it stands to reason that any pot over $30 will give less than 10% of rake back to the casino. If you are playing in a higher stake game, $4-$8 tables, these pots will typically be fairly larger than $30. In short, the higher the pot the less affected you will be by the rake. 6 - To beat the rake In lower limit games you must play very tight.
However when you do play a hand you must be aggressive in order to beat the rake and maximixe your winnings.
