Your review of poker stars is dead on. As someone who has been playing online poker heavily for over a year, your assessment is excellent. thanks.
I have spent most of my time at party, empire, royal vegas, poker room, poker stars, ultimate poker, and some small casinos that dabble. I keep coming back to pokerstars. I feel like their software brainwashes me or something. I started at party, so it is not like ps was first or anything. I just like the interface better. Also, I have found that the suckouts seem to run rampant at party...not so much at ps. Now, thinking about this, tells me this is because there are so many loose players at party, that they shift the odds on you, and suckouts WILL be more prevalent. Ok, fair enough, but I am still seeing my KK going down to low two pair, with a preflop raise being called...waaaaaay too much...lol.
That being said, have you noticed poker stars numbers lately? When I first started there, around summer of last year, the average amount of players was 5k to 15k max....that was it. It was considered the site where better players played, and you knew it was true. After lots of advertising and having two wsop winners in a row, their numbers are 15k to 30k. This means lots of new loose players. I have been playing there lots lately...mostly limit 1/2, 2/4, 3/6, and I can tell you, brother, there are lots of loose callers playing here now. Dont try raising AK without hitting, as these guys will call your preflop raise with Q2, flop a 2, and call your tail all the way....lol. True that.
The bonus system is tough. You do accumulate those FPP points pretty quicly...unlike ultimate bet, but you are still contending with tough odds odds of actually cashing out that full 120 bonus.
Thanks for all this good info.
